In Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, a cloudburst accompanied by catastrophic floods has inflicted massive destruction on Harsil and its surrounding areas. Even after two days, this region is struggling to recover from the calamity.

The biggest concern in Harsil's army base flood is the safety of soldiers. Manjeet Negi reported that the camp hosted eight jawans and a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO), who were caught in the flood. The search for them continues.

The army mess, once towering 12 feet high, now finds itself sunk more than halfway into the ground. Kitchen items—buckets, utensils, and more—lie scattered. The mess door is positioned so low it resembles a window, a testament to the flood's formidable force.

Despite the dreadful scene, relief teams are working tirelessly. Army personnel and other rescue teams are clearing debris to rescue trapped individuals and soldiers. Helicopters are being deployed.

In Dharali, the muddy terrain, fractured hills, and incessant rain complicate the rescue operations significantly. However, the Indian Army and relief teams remain undeterred.
